Saltwater fish tanks – tanks saltwater fish

A fish tank is a saltwater aquarium that simulates an environment of sea and fish houses, corals, plants that live in the ocean.

Salt water fish tanks are considered more difficult to maintain than freshwater tanks because salt water fish have less tolerance for fluctuations that can occur rapidly in the closed environment of an aquarium.

However, it is a rewarding experience to create the atmosphere the ocean in your home. An aquarium helps you destress and lower blood pressure. Not surprisingly, aquariums are commonly seen in hospitals and clinics.

Before you buy a fish bowl, measure the space for you to buy the size that fit into the space. The BES place to put the tank is in the living room where it is easy to appear. Avoid direct sunlight

In short, here are the steps to build a fish tank.

1. Proceed with the installation of the aquarium, as filtration system, skimmer, chainsaws, aquarium heater.

2. Check for leaks in the tank of fish. Tighten all host connections. Fill the tank with fresh water and clean the outside of the tank dry. If no leak, turn off the system and remove a little water.

3. Install the substrate, the sea salt and rock. Place and anchor plants all the way into the substrate.

4. Fill with water. Fill a large bucket with clean water without chlorine. Fill the tank with salt water, leaving about an inch at the superior.

5. Install lighting.

6. Start the filter system. ° Keep the temperature between 75 and 80. That everything works at least 72 hours.

7. When levels of chemicals are well and the tank temperature is within the limits suggested, add the fish. Start with one or two first. Add a few workers safe tank cleaning, such as snails and hermit crabs to control waste in the aquarium.

Now that the tank has been configured, let's talk about fish.

Nevery buy a new fish on impulse at first sight. Before selecting any new addition to your aquarium, take some study to learn more about the fish, such as its characteristics, compatibility with other fish, their dietary needs and food habits.

Select fish that are healthy. How do you know if they are healthy? Here is a telling sign: do not eat diseased fish. Ask suppliers to feed the fish in his presence.

Observe her appearance. The eyes should be bright and clear.A sick fish's eyes or sunken eyes misty. The mouth should be healthy. The skin should be smooth and good color without losing the scales. A healthy fish should have a well rounded and slightly convex (curve) of the stomach. Do not choose a fish with his tummy.

Observe the movement A sick fish shallow breath and move very little. It is lethargic and remain in the bottom of the tank.

How many fish should you put in your tank?. The golden rule is "One inch of fish per 5 gallons of salt water from the system."

You need to acclimate the new fish to your aquarium, because a sudden Chang temperature or water quality can shock the fish to death. The most common method is the floating bag method. If you using this method, do not throw water on the bag in your tank! Doing so risks exposing your tank at any parasites or diseases that were in tanks the store.

Here is how to implement a new fish to acclimate. Place the bag into a clean bucket. Open the top of the bag and remove 25% of water the bag. Replace the water with the same amount of water in your tank. Every 10 minutes add about 1 cup of water to the bag. Repeat this process for about an hour. After an hour has passed will use a network of small fish to get the bag and carefully place the fish in your tank.

How often feed the fish? The best frequency is to feed them twice a day. Do not overfeed the fish. Put enough for 2 minutes because theywill eat for about 2 minutes forhours then ignore the food.

Now that the fish and tank are in place, monitor water quality and fish health. Having a scheduled program tank maintenance

Having a bit of ocean in the comfort of your home is worth the effort. Enjoy your new saltwater aquarium!.
