Why the filter box my tank warm?
I have two turtles in a 90 gallon aquarium with a big pot Ehiem filter. We need a very clean wrong, so I took in the backyard to rinse. Not only is it quite unpleasant odor, but the filter and all media were very hot to touch. The water tank was far more cool and not like the engine in the filter was too much work to create this heat. You think it was bacteria or other microbes that made it so hot? With curiosity I have:!)
