How long should the fish tank light be on a day?
I’m setting up a 20 gal fish tank and in not sure how long to keep the light on.
Can anyone help me?
It should be close to mimicking nature. Off at night. I don’t have fish now, but when I did, I turned it off when I turned off the hose lights and usually didn’t turn it on until I turned the lights on, using natural light during the daytime. Just avoid direct sunlight as it will increase you algae problems.
