What fish is good for a 5, 10 or 15 gallons?
I'm going to Colorado State University next year, and the only animals permitted are fish (maximum size tank is 25 gallons.) I was wondering, what are good fish for a tank of 5 or 10 gallons? (I could go as large as 15 gallons.) Do you know of any fish that are stressed in a bedroom environment? And finally, does website or place I can buy good quality tanks, fish and accessories? (NOT Petco or PetSmart, which will be a last resort.) I have heard that Wal-Mart has fish, but also hear they have a lot of diseases. What are the basic accessories needed for an aquarium? (NOTE: I'm thinking of getting an orb BIO-are as great as the sound?)

I've heard a lot of bad reviews and experiences. Also, does the average down a bit because there is less surface area that is really important. you might want to check out a group like this: http://www.freecycle.org/ where you might be able to find an aquarium or supplies for free in your area or Craigslist where you can find for them cheap. and last but not least … PLEASE cycle your tank before adding fish! This will ensure your health and that you are not losing money, because fish do not live through the cycle and keep dying. Here is how a cycle of deposit (s sake, so that only runs the filter!) http://www.aquatic-hobbyist.com/profiles/misc/fishlesscycling.html good luck and happiness in college!
