I have a 12-gallon aquarium with 3 black tetras, some plants and a bamboo shrimp. What fish should I add?
Eclipse is an aquarium (http://www.marineland.com/products/consumer/con_systems.asp) so you have a filter, bio-wheels, and light built in. I've also added a heater to keep the fish happy!
Dear Lost Boy OC The system Eclipse 12 is a large tank, Marineland has one of the best of their filtration units with the help of bio wheel. I do not add more than 6-9 fish, but I would add to 3 at a time not all at once. The placement of many fish in an aquarium at a time can overwhelm the ecosystem. As the fish can add you can add grouamies dwarf (their many kinds) tetras other, Plati, swordtails, neon dwarf rainbows, any rasbora, cherry barbs (one of few that are a real community) ottocinclus cats (Otto) to eat small algae are ideal for a small tank, but they are very efficient, Cory cats, including dwarf frogs. The number of fish depends on the size and water and how many changes you want to do, between that and the large filter will help keep more fish then the norm. Hope this helps.
