Denatured alcohol is safe to clean the aquarium glass?
I often use rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol to clean the tracks of the dog's nose, and water marks on the outside of my big fish aquariums_water and in_which works and is harmless to my understanding and experience, but I have no access to alcohol denatured much to clean glass, but is too large it safe to use a well-stocked and funtioning tank? Are there adverse effects on fish of vapors evaporating? Does anyone knows?
alcohol, which enters the water by mistake kills fish and beneficial bacteria. highly diluted solution of purified water and ammonia would be better … or treat only purified water … If you must use a chemical ammonia although the use of very little … if it enters the aquarium in trace amounts the same bacteria which removes the ammonia caused by fish waste will take place the ammonia used for cleaning … just be careful. too is still going to kill the fish quickly. Fumigation would also advise against it … simply add to a paper towel and clean.
