What size light should I get for my aquarium planted aquarium?
I read that a good rule of thumb is watts per gallon? I 29gallon aquarium for 29-58 watts of light? I think a big difference. I also find it especially difficult to find a light with this power to be the size right for my tank. It seems that the higher the voltage, the greater the light. But if I go to any small in size, power is reduced. I also read that 2 lights fluorescent can be used, but the hood is just a light house. My plants need little medium light and low average growth rate, pH of 6.0-8.0, so that plants are generally easy to care. I have experience of maintenance of angels, but I can not seem to keep a plant alive! I'm trying! There are huge benefits with plants and my angels are happier. Every article I read about the lighting for the plants in contradiction with another article I read. An article said that the number of K does not mean anything, and another article of author swears by the use of 5000-10000K lights. What do I get? Help! I refer to 1.2 watts per gallon!
I grew the plants for years and currently holds a 29 gallon low tech planted tank with high plants considered cambomba hard as growing well. Lighting Wise enough, the spectrum of K, does not matter. I've grown plants in cool white bulbs (although these do fish are milled so we do not recommend) to more specialized "planted bulbs of deposit." Plants do not care. My plain old gravel substrate and use the estimated index for fertilization. I've done everything CO2 from a pressurized natural lighting, but we currently prefer the non-CO2 under the light, as it involves much less pruning. My current tank (29 gallons) has 3 24 "fluorescent bulbs and is densely planted (over 75% of the substrate is ground). Valisneria has a variety of giganthea Ludwigia repens Cambomba Cambomba Red Carolina (I forget the scientific name) Elodea Crypt wentii Anternatheria do 50% water change every 2 weeks, followed by a dose of 1 / 4 teaspoon of potassium Phosphate (Yes, I am adding phosphates in the tank) 1 / 4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon potassium nitrate potassium sulphate 1 tablespoon of magnesium sulfate (My water has almost no magnesium so this might not be necessary for you) also dose of 5 ml Seachem Flourish next day.
