fish tank stand 75 gallon
Adding jaguar cichlid fish to tank?

If i put a 1.75 inch jaguar cichlid in a 55 gallon with a green terror and an oscar, would it be beat up or would it be able to stand up for itself?

It depends on the relative sizes of the different fish.
If they are all the same size, the jaguar cichlid (Parachromis managuensis) is the most aggressive fish in that group, the Oscar comes in second, and the green terror is least aggressive.

However, they won’t be the same size for long. The Oscar will soon dwarf the green terror, and the jaguar cichlid will soon dwarf both of them. The 55-gallon tank will be too small for any except the green terror. An Oscar needs about a 75 gallon tank as a minimum, and a jaguar cichlid needs about a 150-gallon or larger tank (it grows to a length of about 20 inches and is very aggressive, predatory, and territorial.
