75gal fish tank question…..?
I’m getting a 75gal fish tank in awhile that doesn’t come with a stand. I have about 15 cinder blocks not being used and what wandering if I stacked those to be able the width and length of the tank and then put plywood on the top if that would be sturdy enough to hold however heavy my 75gal tank will be once it’s full of water and decorations. I thought about going and buying a nice stand but seeing as I already have the cement cinder blocks I could just spray paint them and the plywood to match my furniture, and I think it’d look pretty modern and nice if I do it right.
Oh I definetly wouldn’t stand them up longways. Also, yes I’d use a very thick peice of wood and cinder blocks all underneath it…. they’re really cheap too so if it’s not tall enough with what I have then I could get more. As for how tacky, if it ends up looking cheap I can also by a cool table clothe to drape over it all before putting the tank on it. Thanks for the advice!
It’s nice having a cabinet underneath to store all your supplies.If you shop around, its not that expensive to buy one.75 gal is a beautiful tank, you want to display your fish nicely.A lot of people on craigs list or garage sales, sell wrought iron stands also for cheap. Cinder blocks will work, but do you think in the long run, you will be happy ?
