What size/type of Heater for 2.5 gallon Mini-Bow Aquarium?
I’m getting two mini-bow aquariums for a couple of betta fish (yes, only one per tank) and I need to get a heater to keep the water around 80 degrees F. What size and type of heater is best (and cheapest?)? Thanks!
I keep my house pretty cold-around 65-70 degrees…so I dont want the bettas to get all slow….
2.5gallons to 5gallons, 7.5watt. hydor mini heater is the only on I know of in that size… here’s a link to cheap ones:

however, as someone stated above you can get a bigger tank, like a 5 or 10 gallon and divide it, then use a 25 or 50watt heater. plus that way you can get small filters (I recommend 1 for each side, whisper makes ones for 1-3gallon tanks and one on each side works great for a divided betta tank. just have a few silk plants on each side so they don’t have to see eachother all the time. a nice set up including plants, gravel, and everything would run you about $40-$60… kind of a lot, but worth it in my opinion so you don’t have to do water changes once a week.
