Live plants are much better than fake. They help the bio system/
All fish are messy. You need to keep on top of cleaning and especially keep the filter clean and working properly.
Make sure you cycle the tank until the water parameters are good.
You don’t want to lose your fish.
I clean thr gravel with a syphon every week and clean any gunk from the filter.
It works very well for me.
Decorate the tank as you like. The options are andless.
