will blue led lights cause brown algae in a 10 gallon fish tank?
I had this tank set up about 2 months ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s06pdQNNbVs will led light cause brown algae?will led light cause brown algae?and I see brown algae on the aeration stone and on the clear return water hose from the external 30gl filter. I was thinking of removing the 25w fluorescent bulb and keeping just the LED lights an perhaps get white LED lights. They are on a timer which I have reduced from 12hrs to 5hrs of the fluorescent light, Any ideas. Thanks

Brown algae loves to show up in new tanks…
Feeding less will help
Mollies are large waste producers and will be a major source of the problem.
But indirect light doesn’t help at all..when you have your curtains open beeming light indirect light watch out…..
It’s not so much the blue light but the light from the rooms that is your main concern.
And no fish eats visible algae…Otto’s may but will eat flake food and micro algae first..
