fish tank filters 100 gallon
Need help with 75 Gallon fish tank set up.?

I recently moved into a house that has a 75 gallon fish tank built in and I have the following parts. Filter model #E63136 model t3 or 60000-003R ZP. Not sure if it is big enough. Two heaters model LR 93824. Rena Air 100. This is all I have I have no set up directions or anything. Can anyone help and do I even have everything needed to get this bad boy up and running?
Other than a beta when I was younger i have not owned fish no. I am planning on setting up a freshwater tank. Based the fact that I will probably just start with some tetras and other basic fish in the tank. This is what I have come up with based on the research I have done so far. I am open to suggestions though as to salt or fresh water.

Well, I would fill it with water, plug everything in and get it running.

I’m not sure exactly what heater and filters you have, but if the heaters keep the water temp steady around 75F, then they are big enough. You may have 2 x 100W heaters, that should be OK if your house doesn’t get really cold.

As for the filters, plug them in a make sure they work. Even if they are a bit under size they will still work as long as you don’t overstock the tank. The amount of filtering a tank needs depends mostly on the amount of fish, but of course bigger tanks usually have more or bigger fish, hence needing bigger filters. You can always add a 2nd filter later.

Main trick is to get the tank cycled and running properly when you start it up. In a tank that size you will be OK cycling it with a few small hardy fish like zebra danios, and add your more delicate fish later. Or do a full fishless cycle before you add the fish.

Marine tanks are a LOT more expensive and technical, do a lot more research before you go there.
