Am I supposed to keep the air filter in my fish tank on?
I have never had a pet fish before, and I just got a Betta with a nice tank.
It has an air filter/pump that creates bubbles in the tank.
Am I supposed to always keep the air filter on or am I supposed to turn it on and off every now and then?
Betta’s can live without it but it is suggested because it helps them breath. If the tank is in your room and you don’t want to listen to it all night it would be k to turn it off at night because Betta’s are okay with it and they aren’t doing many much swimming because they are in their sleep mode and just hover in the water.
