Setting Up a ‘Scary’ Fish tank?
So I have a 55g aquarium, recently the last goldfish died off. So now I get to plan a whole new tank. I want to make it scary looking. Black gravel, skull decorations, dark backdrop… and of course, scary fish.
But I need a bit of help deciding what to get. Currently there is a pleco and a dragonfish/violet goby in it. So it’ll need to fit in with those, otherwise, it doesn’t matter as long as it’s creepy looking. I was thinking maybe a bunch of blind cave tetras and some glass fish? Or maybe a larger carnivorous fish. What you you choose?
Oh wow! I love those black ghost knifes! How big do other fish have to be for them to not fit in its mouth? I think I’ll go with one of them, but would full size cave tetras work also, or would they be eaten?
Asian needle fish might be cool, and would give you some top swimmers to balance things out. They aren’t too aggressive, but look mean, lots of obvious teeth.
