what are the must-need products when owning an aquarium/fish tank?
besides fish, filter, gravel, water, and food
just wondering and to see if i have everything i need
Fish books, a subscription to an aquarium magazine such as Tropical Fish Hobbyist or Aquarium Fish International, membership in local aquarium clubs, and in national organizations for fish families you are most interested in.
Those are the only must-need products. Everything else is just stuff. When you can meet someone at an aquarium club meeting, and then see their aquariums at their home, and be walked through how they do things sucessfully, that is worth more than all the advice you can get online, and all the high tech equipment you can buy.
