How do i get my betta to create a bubble nest?

I have a male betta fish in a 10 gallon tank, complete with a filter, gravel, and some accessories. I feed him round pellets that the store gave me when I bought him. So how do I get him to create a bubble nest, or when will he create one on his own? I have some dried bloodworms that I bought, but he never eats them whenever I feed it to him. How do I get him to eat them? (if thats the reason)

my betta blows a bubble nest in filtered water all the time … he started doing it when i put floated a piece of indian almond leaf in the tank … i put a fresh piece in with every water change which ruins the one he has started but he just builds another … the indian almond leaf is beneficial in other ways for your betta … the tannins released have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties to protect against illness … but to be honest, not all bettas will blow nests, some people mistakenly believe it means they are happy or want to mate, neither of which is true … some will do it, some will not … but try some indian almond leaf … if you can’t find locally i ordered off ebay and i swear i got a lifetime supply for five dollars including the shipping … also, make sure you are feeding a good quality BETTA pellet and not just fish pellets … and no dried bloodworms, would you want to eat dehydrated worms :O) get the frozen ones, thaw a few and he will definitely eat those … even better is live black worms but they can be hard to get … a local fish store might have them but not a chain like petsmart …
