Is this good for a betta fish aquarium?

It is not ideal, but it is leaps and bounds better than most of the bettas have to live, I only know that the use of rocks as undergravel filters media for filtration and to get dirty super fast. They do the job well, but just be prepared to suck the earth once every two weeks or less. A mini heater would be a plus, as Bettas LOVE hot water and suffer without it. Good luck with your fish!
