Top 2 Fin gallon aquarium?
I have a 2 gallon tank for my black moor, and I was needing to know if there was a filter? In the pieces that said filter plate, but I did not know because it has not put a filter in the tank cartige. A filter plate " is usually part of a gravel filter system. The plate is located on the bottom of the tank and put gravel on top of it. Then connect the line air to one of the uprights that attach to the plate. Air is pumped through the air line and bubbles back up the tube, drawing water through the gravel and through the plate is sucked inside the tube with bubbles and driven back to the top of the tank. This type of filter systems have gone out of style, and to keep all the fish waste and uneaten food trapped under the plate where it continues to decline and the production of ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. regular (weekly) partial (25-30%) water changes are what is needed to maintain good water quality.
