way easier to put artificial plants will have no problem in a 10 gallon tank, live plants are an entirely different beast and requires all types different health equipment, and lighting to survive, with a good filter countertop you'll get all the oxygen you need about 10 gallons, thats a living plant dying slowly in a 10 gallon tank turn cloudy water in a heartbeat and starve all the fish of oxygen (pig killing all fish in the tank 02) in a larger tank id say go ahead and try, but a 10 gallon i could see more than a pleasure headahe
