Is it possible to run a UV sterilizer in a saltwater aquarium without a refrigerator?
I have a 60 gallon reef saltwater tank with multiple spikes, Chromia, starfish and shrimp. It has been running for 3 months and I have to be filtered with a skimmer Coralife 125 gallons of protein, and one 10gal sump. I have plenty of room for a UV sterilizer, but I do not want a cooler.
UV sterilizers are a waste of money IMO. They can only kill the parasites and algae spores that reach them, which is always a very small percentage of the total amount of any of these in a tank.
