My tank thermostat is set at 24, but?
In a temporary label on the outside of the tank that says 26? Which is correct?
The most accurate thermometers are the ones in the tank, stuck to the glass. Note that some of stratification will occur, ie cooler in the bottom and hotter at the top of the tank. The heater thermostat should not be relied upon. The thermometer reads the temperature of the water the level that is stuck on the glass.
