is an aquarium gravel substrate acceptable for ball pythons?
I'm looking to change this reptile bark
No, not a right substrate for ball pythons or any snake! The snake can swallow the earth and easily hit the gravel is hard to clean after a snake defecates and therefore is prone to bacteria build up, it holds no heat or humidity, it is difficult and uncomfortable and can be noisy. Repti-Bark is a better substrate for the moment. Why are you thinking of changing?
