Aquarium stands and fireplace?
I have a huge aquarium stand. He's as tall as a fireplace mantle (which has a 75 gallon tank). It has a 2-door / Storage cabinet area at the bottom, but I'll take something there. I was thinking about removing the doors and put a box of fire in the cabinet space. Do these things generate enough heat to burn the stand? As I said, the thing is already the size of a fireplace mantle. And I wanted to buy one of these layers portable fireplace, but then I thought it better to have 2 focal points of competition. I thought that from the aquarium stand as tall as a cloak anyway, I could only remove the doors and fall of a fire box there. What do you think?
You have to check the "distance to the scores of fuels over the fireplace of your choice. The boiler will list the required distance from anything that burns on data from manufacturers. If the unit chooses a zero clearance model may Use with tank support. One thing to consider however, the combustion chamber produce a quantity of heat that will affect the fish tank. You may find that is almost impossible to maintain any constant temperature in the tank unless the fire burns in the box without stopping. Seems like a good idea, do more research and you can only get it to work!
