Can cherry shrimp and red crystal coexist in the same aquarium?
Can cherry shrimp and red crystal coexist in the same aquarium? Will to cross? Do you eat each others babies?
I have never personally kept the two together, but I have kept each one separately in the past. Neither was particularly aggressive, and receive approximately the same size as the housing together should not be a problem. They will race between the red crystal as are the family "and Caridina" cherries are of the 'Neocaridina' family. Just as all the fry of other fish game, whether owned, of the same species or otherwise, so does the shrimp. Although neither species is too predaciouse, is food and food if you have a baby shrimp, or the species will decline. But not actively hunt them, and provided with a well planted aquarium should be fine. Best of Luck!
