Aquarium air pump that uses pistons or other means then rubber boots?
I keep replacing the rubber boots on my air pump for my fishbowl because they keep tearing. My last set lasted only 3 months. Is there a piston air pump for fish tanks or any other type of pump available air that does not use these rubber boots to produce the air.
I was supposed to mean that the diaphragm into the air pump? Have you asked yourself why is constantly tearing? There is a phenomenal called "counter". Please let all the pressure of the pump out to the exit, because it has been reduced by the airflow limitation or are you trying to make the air hose going too far or air stone is much higher up than the height of the pump, then the diaphragm not be back and so the tears. You must be a smaller pump or if you are restricting the flow, or place a 2-way valve in the hose and bleed some air out. This will make the quietest air pump too. If it is because the pump is working very hard, then you might need a pump bigger or move the pump to the same level as the air stone?
