How does a protein skimmer and do i need one for my 75gallon saltwater aquarium?
In my opinion, it is necessary a protein skimmer. In theory a skimmer effectively removes waste products, placing them in a jar. Small bubbles that occur on an interface an air-water (ie, a small pump) is the basis of a skimmer. Scrap molecules atttracted these small bubbles floating in a cup. Therefore, in actually removes waste from the tank. Also with a larger tank you should not have to make more changes of water. Small tank = more problems the chemistry of water from a larger tank. I have a 135 gallon tank and do not have a skimmer on it.
