"I can use a tap water conditioner instead of chemicals in a RO / DI system?
My question is, why I can not use a conditioner tap water, such as the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Conditioner, or Top Fin water conditioner instead of buying an RO / DI water system for my nano reef? If the RO / DI system is designed to remove all minerals, etc, and chemicals to do the same, what is the difference? Thanks in advance for your help.
Tap water condtion not actually remove anything from your water. Just chemically reacts with the chlorine residual become harmless to fish. But any nitrate or dissolved minerals found in tap water are still there. RO filter basically removes everything from the faucet, leaving than pure water.
