Who cares what I put lights on the top of my aquarium?
I lost the original bulbs and I'm not sure if I can put any kind of bulbs aquarium in them. does this matter? Ah, well, you may get a new cover to an end the 10 gal aquarium starter? similar tanks are 10 gal of the same size / Form? thanks! Oh, it does have a freshwater tank:)
Obviously, you need a bulb that fits the socekt – whether it is making filament, should either an incandescent or fluorescent bulb swirly. If connector is a standard fluorescent tube, you will need a fluorescent tube standard. How luxury, the spectrum does not matter unless you're trying to grow photosynthetic organisms (plants, corals, saltwater invertebrates identified). For freshwater plants, a range of between 5,500 and 6,700 K is ideal. Corals and inverts generally need between 10,000 and 20,000 K, and lower the Kelvin temperature, more need additional actinic light.
