aquarium heater …?
I am currently cycling my tank, and since Saturday, the thermometer shows the temperature of 84F, 28C – this is too high! My heater is set at 25C. Is it just for the hot weather we've had? I turned off the heating to 22 ยบ C this morning, so I hoping that this will happen. Fortunately, I have no fish in the tank at the time, but if this happens when I fish – what would I …?!?!?! WOW thanks for posting perameters water your great help! What he did was to cycle your tank faster by raising the heat. My heater does the same. Its off by 3 degrees. 84 did not kill the fish but kill pathogens. I would leave it to the new fish for a few weeks. Most infectious organisms can not handle any temperature above 82 degrees, so it really will help with the process of new fish quarintine. His perameters water are almost perfect. I saw that nitrates not reach higher. Keep them under 20 ppm, if you can. When you lower the temperature of the fish there, do not do more than 2 degrees per day. Keep your temperature ideal for fish is constant.
