How does a submersible aquarium heater? Mine is not working?
I'm probably going to look like a complete idiot asking this, but I just bought a 300w heater teo name for my 55 gallon tank. The condition of the car isntructions off when not in the water and states that it is a submersible heater. However, I am a little paranoid here. My heater is not operating, the light never coems on and the water remains cold. I think maybe I'm supposed to place the heater completely under water, but how can it be that with an electric cord? This seems dangerous to me and like to hear from anyone who has a submersible heater if this is what I do. Please help
I have 2 Ebo Jager submersible heater – if you can put completely under water – the included cable, and they are completely sealed and waterproof cable autonomous None. heaters have a gap at the top where the entered the boiler – which is immersed in one of these would get all wet and cause an electrical short (or worse). If all you need to make sure when using any types of heaters in the aquarium is to leave a "drip loop", where the cable ties down once more below the base (http://www.bestfish.com/tips/031998.html). Safety first!
