How Do you Clean A Fresh Water Aquarium With Sand And Can You Have A under gravel filter System With Sand?
1. Just use the same suction tube you would use with gravel and put a little nylon bag around the exit hose with a rubber band to capture any sand that happens to get sucked up in it. You can dump the sucked sand back into the tank.
2. I don’t know of any under gravel systems with small enough grooves to keep the sand out. Good luck with that!
