How do you unscrew the lid of a glass 29 gallon aquarium? I really need help!?

I bought a "29 gallon glass aquarium "Wal-Mart a year ago. I want to change the lights, but I have no idea how to get the hood open to unscrew the bulb! If you turn hood rather than see the glass and the bulb, but no screws or anything. I really would like to change the fixture. Thanks.

If it is a plastic cover look carefully around the edge of the cup. Mine has little spikes that hold the glass in place. Plastic bag, apart from one or more of the feathers, one at a time, the plastic moves enough to be able to get the glass.
