Can the light of the aquarium to sit on top of glass or that will filter out all UV waves?
I think of the plants and fish and my new accessory fluorescent lighting said that should not be placed in the open sea .. Will sitting on a filter glass top light is important for plants? What makes everyone else do to ensure that light does not come into contact with water?
Some glass will glow with UV filter and without some form of optical spectroscopy can not know for sure the glass is not filtering out wavelengths. However, there are two important points to consider. First, most commercial glass, unless is made, it will not filter out ultraviolet radiation (common window glass not). Second and more importantly, photosynthesis occurs mainly as a result of light in the visible spectrum. This means that while the glass APPER clear to the naked eye, photosynthesis can occur.
