Clown Fish Care? Pick best answer!?
I had a cichlid aquarium for a long time and I feel I'm ready to get on a saltwater aquarium. I was inspired by my favorite local fish store that had a 20 saltwater aquariums with two clown fish and anemones of the few. This is what I want. I have read Saltwater aquariums for Dummies and it was useful, but I think I need a little help … How much will it cost? (not cheep) Is it much work? (it may work this at all) do not want to do more than a 20g tank. GRACIAS !!!!!!!!
clownfish is one of the easiest fish to start SW, and are basically as a maid (both are problems in the family Pomacentridae), but are generally less aggressive than the average girl. 20 gallon is fine for a couple of clown fish (and perhaps a watchman goby small), but in reality it restricts how much and which fish you can keep .. if all you wanted were two clowns, of course, this does not is a problem .. 20 gallon tank is not small, but not a great investment if you lose to struggle at first .. but generally recommend something closer to 29 or 30 gallon tank. the, filter, heater, hydrometer, some aragonite sand, and a few kilos of live rock is really all you need to maintain 2 clowns create healthy and happy with the filter tank heater and sand, mixed with salt water in the tank, go light on the salt at first, because it is easier to add SW get more salt and add fresh water. once the specific gravity of around 1.020-1.025 (once it reaches the hydrometer that you know what is) the pH around of 8.0-8.3, and temperature of 76-80 to go ahead and add your live rock live rock is more likely uncured or semi-cured … for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate kits test will be easier to tell when the tank is cycling and drinking water for fish. If your store does it for free you can go there, but more easier to just do it at home .. make sure you go to a store that deals in fish and say that SW is a SW tank, freshwater tests .. different after the 3-4 (or less) weeks of the bike can go ahead and add the clownfish, add both at the same time, so that form a couple. if added at different times that they fight, it is likely that death. anenome's going to have to come some time later, are much more difficult to care for than just the ability to more fish clown and they need to keep alive, not to mention a better filtration and lighting ..
