Does anyone know where I can find a contractor to put in a glass wall so you can see through in a pond?
I'm looking for build a new house and am looking for a new contractor to build glass walls around my room or in another room so you can see through it. Want to support the wall with enough water pressure to maintain a large pond or aquarium as the aquarium State. I'm looking to put in some big fish in there. The size glass wall covering the walls 2 and has a wall 10 meters high with 12 feet long and another about 18 feet long. Please help. The pond will be around 35,000 gallons or pressure around the room. Looking to put in the Koi pond
Hello Alexander, calling for a recommendation on a contractor's ability to do this job and do not even mention where you are located. A strange request. Anyway, a cistern or a pond that size would not be possible in the glass. Should be using acrylic panels, as do in large public aquariums. An engineer would need to design a system this size. Integrity wall structural seeing is only a consideration. It is obvious that there was need to strengthen or its foundations or pour their foundations and pin directly to the rock. The weight of water alone (not including the acrylic or other house that can be above the lagoon and the exchange of the foundations themselves) is 245,000 pounds or 122.5 tons. That is important! Anyway, I definitely had to run this project by the building inspector. Undoubtedly it would check with him before spending money on engineering designs and specifications. It may be that school districts either by changing or reducing the project. Good luck with this monster. I'd love to see in their construction phases and complete course. BTW, if I were building this, it would be building a saltwater reef, not 35,000 gallons Pond tents. swimmer
