aquarium chiller?
my tank has been over 80 degrees during the summer, reaching 88 degrees once. all inhabitants are doing well, but i plan on getting the reefs and the need for a refrigerator. I have a trickle filter and was wondering which would be a better option from a drop in refrigerator or line. How do I connect the line to the sump
Just get a fan if the tank has gone so far in the summer. A 20 "fan blowing directly onto the surface of the water will give you a nice drop in temperature and save 250-500 on the bones. If you are going to drop its temperature to 60-65 then you want a refrigerator. Go to wetwebmedia.com. There are many articles on chillers and can be very helpful for a marine fish keeper.
