Affect how Mopani Wood Aquarium water chemistry?
Hey, guys – I just bought a piece of wood in the pet store mopani My local aquarium. I'm going to soak for a few days to take care of the discoloration, but I'm confused about something. The label says it will lower the pH, and some research in alternating line says it will increase pH, again, some others say it will not change at all. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it my pH going to go crazy, or am I safe? My tank is a 29 gallon, and bought a small piece. Thanks in advance!
Mopani is the most difficult and therefore their effects are slower to realize. Perfectly safe, for a period of months could depending on the size of the wood under you PH 0.5, will do more than that. I can use a large amount of wood in my tanks, this is definitely a beneficial addition to any collection, even brackish.
