Has anyone tried adding activated carbon to cat litter to control odor?
I just saw something on TV about how activated carbon / carbon absorbs smells better than baking soda, and I know that adding carbon Everclean to bed now. Has anyone used this brand? Is it really better odor control than others? If activated carbon is added to another brand, which just bought the same product that is normally sold for aquariums?
Yes, I am a big fan of charcoal. I started using a product called Fridge-It's the smell of the bar springs very smelly and it worked great. So I started using it for my two litter boxes for cats, there was also an ongoing odor problem. Just cut on the side of litter box and it worked fantastic. I understand that the activated carbon is very different than coal and other carbon products and small pieces of carbon in some litters are not as good. I addressed some of them and really does not work very well. Therefore, go and get some of those refrigerator odor absorbing activated carbon. – Little purple cube – not losing money imitations. Totally unscented so it actually eliminates odor rather than covering with some nasty fragrance and totally safe to use -. You can purchase these kitchen gadgets in stores or just go direct which is what I do contact them and ask customerservice@innofresh.com order form. You get away. Definitely the way to follow. try. Good luck
