Is this a good variety of plants for my new 10 gallon tank?
I have a new 10 gallon I'm going to plant. I have the tank ready. Here is my set-up: Enlightenment is a 17 watt fluorescent Hood (I w / low-light plants) Filtration: Marineland Penguin 100 bio wheel filters. (Yes I know that the loss of CO2) My substrate is standard aquarium gravel mixed with laterite in the bottom layer. I am using the DIY method co2 But I will not add much to my co2 tank and I do not think you really need too. Oh and I will have some pieces of wood soon! Ok as for plants: I go shopping this aquatic plant weekend and hope to find some decent plants! This is what I hope to return home with: Java Fern (anchor driftwood) Anubis Nana (forground) Giant Hygro (land half plant) water sprite (background plant) do not want to get too as I am starting out. But I just want to know if you think these sound acceptable to the first floors. I'll add later, but want to start small. Oh, and I have a heater if its necessary
they are perfect i nothing more unless are very, very small, because then there is a higher risk of ammonia and disintegrate, leaving the water polluted and that involve the frequent water changes
