airstone keeps splashing water on my plexiglass is that dangerous?
I have an air stone and splashing water on my plexiglass is just above the plexiglass and is starting to get a little rusty kind of things about it, is it dangerous for my fish? And I have an aquarium ornament is a ship and its starting to lose its color and get a little old, it is also dangerous for my fish?
splashing water on the Plexiglas is not really dangerous, simply clean once a week or more to prevent the buildup of calcium deposits. In terms of ornamentation, are usually not dangerous, but probably no big deal. the paint is dissolved in water and, unless you really keep up on water changes, you MAY be allowing products chemicals accumulate in the aquarium. make the ornament and study some nice rock, a natural aquarium and / or wood, are readily achievable in most stores pets, and look better in my humble opinion.
