I have a baby painted turtle in an aquarium of 55 gallons. My question is: what is the best water temperature?
I have a heater in my aquarium My baby painted turtle. The house temperature is around 65 years and I wonder what would be the best water temperature to avoid at night for health turtle?
Try to water temperatures of 75-80. If the turtle is slow, try increasing slightly to a maximum of 85. Basking sites should run about 90. Besides water temperature, also wants to address the leak (2-3 times that of a tank is needed, but such that the turtle is not at risk of gettign absorbed) and lighting that is "full spectrum" including UV-B rays.
