Best T-12 bulb model for planted aquarium?

Have you had success with a particular brand / model 40 watt / 48 inches / T-12 / F40 bulb? Its time to replace mine, and I would find something better. I have 2 slots. My setup is a bit weird. Its been built up over time. I have 2 lamps T40 in a standard aquarium hood. In my other Hood, have 2 U.S. current 32-watt compact fluorescent retrofits and making double filament with 2 of 25 W screw CF bulbs.
