Internship at the zoo or exotic animal rescue?
Looking for an internship at a zoo or exotic animal rescue … or even a rescue dog realllly large (eg best friends animal sanctuary) … an aquarium is fine too. It's okay if it is unpaid or opportuity simply a volunteer, I just want the expierence working with animals in a real work situation. It can be anywhere in the U.S., but must provide houseing housing. You must also be in the summer of 2010. I will only be 16 and one year in high school, which is a problem because most places want a person who is in college. I searched google for hours and have not found anything that fits my needs, any help would be greatly appreciated.
All I know within the U.S. requires an age of 18 due to liability reasons. You can still work, but most are not the positions of the animals. I hate to say, but unless you want to go with volunteer work (unpaid, not housing) that stick to 18 or more.
